FRIENDS OF SKIPTON MUSIC CENTRE
We are the support group,
mainly parents of children who attend the Music Centre and others keen
to promote music. Our aims are:-

To provide support for
staff and students in the operation of Skipton Music Centre.

To encourage use of the
Centre for all students who have an interest in music, with a provision
for those who may have difficulty affording the ensemble tuition
fees and instruments.

To raise money to buy
instruments and sheet music to provide access to music for all students.

To publicise and promote
the work carried out at the Music Centre in order to facilitate
fund

To provide the practical
and operational support in the staging of concerts and other performances.

So far we have helped the
Music Centre by raising funds to buy a keyboard, sheet music, music
stand banners and various instruments such as 2 saxophones, 3 trumpets,
3 cellos and an E flat Horn all in regular use by children attending
the centre.
We have also provided a
wide range of refreshments at different venues from cream teas to wine
and cheese as well as cups of tea.
